I was driving down 3rd Ave when I saw some amusing graffiti out of the corner of my eye on this building…
In case you didn’t notice the inconspicuous security camera…
Ha, great. Made me laugh.

Awesome. “That” building, of course, is the Cooper Union dorms.
Someone around Indianapolis has helpfully stenciled a picture of a video camera in lots of places where you’re under surveillance:

… Big Brother.
>Then, Travis meets up with his cabbie buddies at an unknown grease joint. As far as I can tell, this isn’t the Belmore Restaurant nor The Terminal/Exchange bar featured later on in the film. Anyone have any idea where this might have been? There’s a full-block Hess across the street, if that helps. It’s the station where ALL the cabbies go. For gas.
I’m pretty sure it’s a former tiny coffee shop on 10th Avenue between 44th and 45th, across from a Hess that’s stilll there. I will be passing there tomorrow, so I can get a better look at the place.
Sorry, that coding seems to have gotten somewhat mangled:

OK. The best I can estimate: The building across from the Hess station was torn down. What’s there now is no older than the 80s, I think. It is where 44-1/2 (the adjunct to the restaurant 44&X) is situated.
Here’s the current view of the Hess station:

If you can get a sharper image of that still, you should be able to see the street sign (probably reading 10th Avenue).
And of course, I could be totally wrong.
