Oh, man, I hope you’re submitting that to FAIL Blog (http://failblog.org/).
That is classic.
Mmmh, here’s a French speaker who’s hitting the cultural/linguistic barrier… Besides the not-so-professional appearance of their business headquarters, I suppose something’s funny about the text?
Thanks for starting this blog, it was a delight to use this as an off-the-beaten-track guide for my first visit to NYC.
Scout,
What a great blog!
I happened by from a link on some site and it was a walk down memory lane for me.
I’m a former NY’er living in Ireland and it was great to see pics of places I’ve passed a hundred times while growing up in NYC.
I enjoyed your posts revisiting locations for taxi driver,GB’ers and would like to suggest that you watch “The Harder they Fall” with Bogey and Rod Stieger, it was Bogarts’ last feature film and the opening and closing scenes are filmed on location in NYC and I remember while watching it a few weeks ago on TCM wondering
what some of those places in the city look like today.
If you get some time check the movie out and see what you think.
It might make a good blog post.
I’d do it myself.but I don’t know when I’ll be back in the city next.
PS
I’ve added your blog to my favorites and will be stopping by to see what great stuff you have up next.
but hey….no pressure!
PsychoFox:
I know too little French to help you with a French translation of PMS, but I will point you to this rather benign Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PMS
and this helpful service:

I know what PMS means. But I still don’t get why that’s funny.
Ha, Steph, their business is in marketing, and they choose to call themselves PMS? I can only assume you’re an employee…
Nope, not an employee. Just trying to understand why that would be funny. Spell it out for me.
I dare you to say no to anything they say.
Considering that marketing is the act of grabbing someone’s attention – and you posted their sign and location – I’d say they’re pretty marketing-savvy. Had they named themselves Fred’s Marketing would we even have this post?
PS – Love your site.
