Anyone who drives in the city is familiar with the Kenneth Cole billboard around 59th Street and the West Side Highway. The ads change frequently and comment on various political and social issues Cole favors (quite a lot of anti-war stuff in the past few years). This one appeared pretty quickly after the emergency airplane landing, and I should’ve posted it then to be current. But no matter – it’s still pretty cool to read as you’re literally driving past the part of the river where the plane touched down.
(Bottom reads: Thank you to the pilots, crew, and New Yorkers for all that you did, and all that you do.)

I never drove in the city when I lived there, so I’ve never seen this billboard… but it’s existence doesn’t surprise me… it’s so New York!
Very cool. I still get the shivers when I think about that.
