Where Did Half Of This House Go?

I was driving with my fiancee to visit Stony Kill Falls, a gorgeous waterfall a couple hours north of the city. As we turned off the highway and made our way down some backwoods roads, we passed by this old abandoned house. Nothing particularly special, other than looking like the sort of place to fuel the campfire stories of any kids living in the area….

But as we continued on, I looked back in my rear view mirror and noticed something…

Where the heck did half of this house go?!?

You know what? I don’t want to know. Some things are better left to the imagination. Or the campfire.

PS – FYI, Stony Kill Falls is 1) an absolutely gorgeous 80 foot waterfall totally worth the drive, and 2) a great FREE swimming hole to cool off in the summer (especially if you’ve got a dog). Just watch out for the nudists who frequent the area (and the local snake population that like to scare city slicker location scouts). From Wikipedia (it looks small in this picture, but this thing is actually really, really high):
