I saw this ad while biking over the Pulaski Bridge, and I was pretty amazed:
What an odd question to ponder while going into Queens. Am I stupid? Or what?
I get the intention – we’re stupid if we don’t listen to 970AM. But it feels like it’s incomplete: with just the question and no punchline (i.e. something like “Educate yourself with 970AM!)”, it’s like they’re actually asking you that question with insulting seriousness: “Well, are you stupid…or WHAT?”
It’d be great if the guys behind this one designed a beauty product ad: “Are you ugly…or what?”
OK, enough overthinking…As always, the views in the opposite direction from the Pulaski are beautiful. The Newtown Creek was looking particularly untoxic this day:

CLASSIC New York attitude!
Great view!
I have to visit NY again sometime in the near future!
That is a beautifully evocative view of the skyline. I’ve used the same vantage point on the Pulaski to steal a shot from a (still unfinished) short film of mine. Another favorite spot nearby is a corner in that kind of amorphous borderland where I could never figure out if I was in Williambsburg or Greenpoint… I think it’s N. 15th and Gem. Two streets intersecting at an odd angle with good midtown view in the background, as I recall.
Keep up the good work!
