Scouting Disney World
This photo is driving me bonkers – what intersection is this? I’ve lived near madison square park for 4 years and i have never seen this view. Where is this? If this was the intersection of 23rd and b’way where is the plethora of cars? Well, most people realized pretty quickly that my last post…
Stopping By Archie Bunker’s House in Queens
Last week, I was scouting in the Middle Village/Glendale area of Queens when I realized I was close to an address I’d been meaning to check out. Only thing was, as I pulled up to the house, I couldn’t remember why I’d written it down. Over the years, I’ve saved up a number of Google…

Where Did Half Of This House Go?
I was driving with my fiancee to visit Stony Kill Falls, a gorgeous waterfall a couple hours north of the city. As we turned off the highway and made our way down some backwoods roads, we passed by this old abandoned house. Nothing particularly special, other than looking like the sort of place to fuel…
Queens House Attempts To Be Made Of Every Type of Building Material Known To Man
I noticed the side of this house while scouting a neighborhood in Queens and was quite impressed. I see shingles, stone, concrete, brick, aluminum-siding, and two types of what I think is asphalt siding. Add some stucco and a few clapboards, and I think we have a Guinness record contender here. -SCOUT

Looks like the end of a steel cable from a suspension bridge or elevator that has been melted. Could it be from World Trade Center?
Rubin Art Museum – Statue of buddha
my first thought was a statue, but I went to the Met. But I can’t figure out of what because the photo creeps me out! Eeps.
sorry meant to say “…but I went to the Met (not the Rubin)”
I’ll guess Takashimaya.
Definitely a type of copper or malachite. Probably in a museum because a piece like that would highly valuable. I have a small sample of the similar mineral
The Statue of Liberty’s underarm hair? (she IS French)
I live in the south, but it is copper wire. Looks like a cable that has weathered outside for sometime.
The Statue of Liberty’s underarm hair? (she IS French)
If she were American she wouldn’t have underarms hair. Or, tragically, another sort of body hair 🙁
