Halfway to the Pacific
Continuing west on US-56, we drove through Scranton (population: 724). Not much was going on… One building of note: a former Methodist church converted to a garage (you can just make out the big roll-gates on the right): Across the street was this abandoned gas station, and I was really intrigued by the sign on…
Over The Door
As you can tell from the recent posts, I’ve been spending a lot of time around the West 70’s recently. Two quick doorways: I like the little relief over this doorway, in which two angels (or babies?) are holding a cloth that has the building number written on it. I think I like it because…

Is that by any chance on Metropolitan Ave in Brooklyn?
Nope, that storefront is on Driggs Ave, between N 7th and N 8th. I know because I live directly across the street, and see people photographing it all the time. I just sat in the doorway the other day to eat some pizza.
This photo has so much character and I am sure it has a few stories to tell.
I agree with Natali, this photo has lived many lives!!!
Beautiful!!
